About Idylabs

We're idylabs, full of ideas (idy). We build solutions that solve real problems for real people. Right now, we're helping small-medium scale online businesses solve their growth and visibility problems.

We're not here to build another "nice-to-have" SaaS products. We're here to build things that matter, solve problems that hurt, and create products people can't imagine living without. Software, hardware, or whatever it takes — we build it.

We also help businesses integrate AI into their workflows and processes. But make no mistake: we're builders first.

1. It is impossible. That word doesn't exist here. If there's a problem worth solving, there's a way to solve it.

What We're Looking For

We need a mid-senior level Product Designer who's done this before and won. Someone who doesn't just make things look good, but designs products people actually use and love.

You're a rare combination of:

• Product Design: You understand user flows, information architecture, and how to design experiences that just work.
• Brand Design: You can create visual identities from scratch as we launch new products.
• Graphics Design: You know how to create compelling marketing assets that drive visibility and growth.

This is our first hire. You'll own design at Idylabs and set the standard for everything that comes after.

Who We’re Looking For

You're the kind of person who:

• Has top-notch creativity paired with technical savvy (you understand SaaS, technical products, and building from zero to one)
• Moves with extreme urgency and execution speed – you ship fast without sacrificing quality
• Takes radical ownership – if it's broken, you fix it; if it's unclear, you clarify it
• Has an obsessive attention to detail – pixel-perfect isn't optional, it's standard
• Is committed and passionate – this isn't just another job, it's a mission you believe in
• Fun and loves experimenting

If you need hand-holding or constant direction, this isn't the role for you. We need someone who sees what needs to happen and makes it happen.

What You’ll Do

Your days will vary, but here's what you can expect:

• Communicate constantly – We value clear, proactive communication and respect. You'll be interfacing with the team daily and with clients regularly
• Take ideas from zero to one – You'll be designing new products, features, and brands from scratch
• Iterate relentlessly – First drafts are never final. You'll refine designs based on feedback, data, and user behavior
• Interface with clients – For our consulting work, you'll present concepts, gather feedback, and deliver polished solutions
• Own the entire design process – From research and wireframes to final assets and handoff

Interview Process

We respect your time, but we're also thorough. Here's what to expect:

1. Intro Call (30 minutes) – Let's get to know each other and see if there's mutual fit
2. Technical Interview & Taste Call (60 minutes) – We'll dive into your portfolio, design thinking, and aesthetic judgment
3. Take-Home Assignment – Sent after a successful technical round; this is where we see how you work
4. Culture Fit Call (60 minutes) – The final conversation to ensure we're aligned on mission, values, and working style

Compensation & Benefits

• Groundbreaking work – You'll own design for products that have real impact
• Base Salary: ₦300,000 - ₦500,000/month (based on experience)
• Equity – Ownership in the products you help build, with a 2-year cliff
